DANKE Frau Dr. Stebel!

If I understood right, the vet who measures the antibodies for rabies in my dog, does not know if these antibodies will protect her, either. The whole medical world needs to be built back up from the bottom it seems. Mostly based on wrong dogmas.

I don't know if there is a study which korrelates the antibody titer to protection in case of rabies. There are some correlates.

Thank you. I will have to check that out!

Look into the Rabies Challenge Fund which was done years ago by the late Dr Ronald Schultz world best immunologist who also did the Distemper and Parvo challenge studies. Dr Will Falconer covers rabies and does classes.

As for DHP distemper, Hep, and Parvo once a pup has seroconverted T CELLS are created and MEMORY CELLS they have immunity for life and a titer can be NEGATIVE in an immune dog if they haven't had exposure for a while but dog is immune because it has MEMORY in his cell and when he sees it again titer will rise. You can also get titer to rise by keep taking your dog to dog parks where the over vaccinated dogs shed MLV vaccine virus. That’s how natural reared pups gain immunity ( hitching a ride)

After a pup if they have ever had a positive antibody titer at any time they have MEMORY. Studies went up to 7 and 9 years Dr Schultz only ever vaccinated his pups and his family pups ONCE at 16 weeks.

MDA neutralises the vaccine virus rendering it useless so in pups we can titer to watch MDA going down to ( if your not natural rearing) vaccinate AT THE RIGHT TIME and hoping only once. Pups are tittered from 6 weeks in the nest you go by the parvo score. Vaccinate on S1/0 titer three weeks later to see if it worked.

MDA can be gone by 6 weeks or present up to 25 weeks every pup is an individual.

thanks ! I recently discovered Dr Falconer. My dog got the baby shots because I did not know better and of course the young vet did not even tell me these were vaccs. I went because she came to me with fleas. She was at the time 7 weeks old. After the first round she had some more at 5 1/2 months. After that only the 3 year rabies because this is obligatory in GA, otherwise I would not give her anything. But no vet will treat her if she hasn't got the documents.

I think the US over jabs everyone be it people or pets. In Europe my cat got ONE rabies vax orally that lasted a lifetime. They stopped the rabies 9 years ago because rabies is extinct there. I never heard of any of the other shots, even though having a great vet there. Babies get 2 vax obligatory and one or 2 choice.

Years ago in the Netherlands they started to make it mandatory to inject pups in the nest at 7 week ( how sick is that ) they have dog passports, so vets fought for years to titer pups BEFORE over vaccinating them at the WRONG time to doing only one at the right time. Then titer every 3 years even though they know it can be negative as the dog has memory it’s better than over vaccinating. Most dogs keep their antibodies for life anyway.

I used to live in Belgium LOL. the Netherlands have always been less tolerant.

I think one should not inject anyone at all. All species have survived for hundreds of thousands of years without.
